Boteco is a pub, a bar, a restaurant.

 

Boteco [bo'teku] is a term derived from the word "botica" (Portuguese from Portugal) which derives from the Greek "apotheke" which means storage, grocery store or where goods were sold.

 

Today Boteco means a lot. Boteco is a meeting place, a place where people go to enjoy some drinks, have some delicious food, to hang out,  "jogar papo fora" and feel as if they are in Brazil, but without spending the big bucks for the flight.

. Shiggy Bossa Nova: the band is Bill Coon on guitar, Noah Gotfrit on bass and Brad Shigeta on trombone performing authentic Bossa Nova music in a Jazz version.

. Ciranda: will be playing traditional Choro and Forró.

. Brejera: our house band - playing the best of Choro, Samba and Pagode.

. Bossa Etc (a Vancouver-based trio) will be playing a mix of Bossa Nova, Funk, Pop, Folk and Blues.

. Shiggy Bossa Nova: The band is Bill Coon on guitar, Noah Gotfrit on bass and Brad Shigeta on trombone performing authentic Bossa Nova music. The band is led by Brad Shigeta who was a professional Trombone player in New York in the 90s and early 2000s and now makes his home in Vancouver: https://bradshigeta.com/about-brad/
. Bossa Etc (a Vancouver-based trio) will be playing a mix of Bossa Nova, Funk, Pop, Folk and Blues.
. PSICODELLA Unplugged: has played alongside some of the biggest names in Brazilian Pop/Rock, such as Pitty, Jota Quest, Raimundos, Detonautas, Biquini Cavadão, CPM 22, and many more. Now, they bring their entire experience and quality to Vancouver. Come and experience the new PSICODELLA Unplugged in Vancouver. The best of Brazilian pop-rock in acoustic versions with Anie Doná and Walter Poletti.
